Why We Do What We Do
We love staying behind the camera, and mostly out of sight but I realize there have been 4-5 blog posts so far without any information on who we are. I really pride myself on teamwork, and the camaraderie the Anomaly team shares because our crew makes us who we are. What started as a one-man-band kind of company has quickly turned into a full team of creatives that share the same goal - to make impactful films that bring emotion, attention, and move brands forward. We’re so passionate about what we do, because it’s what we love to do.
How We Got Here
I started freelancing at the age of 16. My first few gigs were weddings, of course, mixed in with a couple of live events. I’d say most of my first gigs were for little to no money. What I wanted out of those gigs was the experience. Throughout the Summer of 2013, I was so passionate about filmmaking (and still am). I was studying filmmaking from the time I got up, to the time I went to bed because I had such a hunger to be the best filmmaker I could be. The cool thing is, that’s exactly how I am today. 10 years later, I still have that same passion and so does the entire Anomaly team. Whenever I try to explain to potential clients why we’re the right people for the job, I try to explain this very reason. We’re so extremely passionate about making top-notch work that gives an audience emotion or sets a brand a part. I know, this all sounds so cliche, but it’s 100% true. The entire team is young, and hungry to make a name for themselves that we truly stop at nothing to make the best possible work.
